Concerts & Shows

Everyone knows Carmen.
Her arias have become hits that we all hum.
But do we still hear what they’re saying?

Gilles Dumoulin and Anne-Catherine Vinay bring together the harpsichord and the marimba in an original duo that bridges the centuries. From Bach’s *The Art of Fugue* to the minimalist works of Steve Reich, they explore the dialogue between the musical lines and the timbres of their instruments.

*Les Yeux clos* offers an auditory and visual journey, ranging from flamboyance to intimacy. Guided by the writings of Malcolm de Chazal, the concert blends Scriabin’s piano pieces with compositions by Martin Moulin, featuring unusual instruments, gestures, and whispers—like a Boléro played in reverse.

With *Lumière!*, the Percussions Claviers de Lyon reinterpret the music from classic films, notably the works of Danny Elfman and Nino Rota. The quintet reveals the full evocative power of these soundtracks, beyond the images that inspired them.

This oratorio for children’s choir explores the world of Jules Verne through scenes inspired by the four elements: earth, air, water, and fire. A musical journey through inventions, discoveries, and mysteries.

In an imaginary clearing, the percussion brings to life a sabbath populated by witches, monsters, and skeletons. Blending macabre dances with mischievous sounds, the show explores humanity’s fascination with death, offering a contemporary vision of hell imagined by Zad Moultaka.

In a timeless setting, instruments and objects come to life, ushering in a dreamlike journey that continues on screen with Albert Lamorisse’s *Le Ballon Rouge *. Set to the music of Darius Milhaud, the show transports us to 1950s Paris, a world of poetry, freedom, and adventure.
