Music for Everyone

Les Percussions Claviers de Lyon forge connections between their stage productions and their cultural initiatives. They are committed to sharing their passion for music, particularly with those who are least exposed to the arts. The musicians perform in schools, in public spaces, and for audiences with special needs.
Proposals that are always unique
Musician Sylvie Aubelle, who also serves as cultural activities coordinator, initiates projects and creates spaces for exchange through co-creation with the public, always with kindness and generosity.
Whether it’s becoming a musician, an actor, or a creator for the duration of a workshop… Percussions Claviers de Lyon welcomes audiences of all kinds!
Whether it’s a one-time event or the establishment of a long-term arts education program, the quintet offers these moments of sharing and awareness-raising centered on a musical repertoire or improvised music.
Whether at school, at L’Hameçon, or at performance venues as part of a field trip or a parent-child outing, the workshops are grounded in musical practice, which serves as a bridge between participants.
At Collège Georges Brassens and on the stage of Le Toboggan (Décines), 60 students in 6th and 7th grade explore the interplay between dance and percussion. Working with a professional musician and a professional dancer (23 hours of instruction), they create a performance inspired by the show *Printemps*, which they perform in front of an audience of 650 people.
Living Together Despite Our Differences
For the past fifteen years or so, the Percussions Claviers de Lyon have fostered close ties with hospitals, residential care facilities, intergenerational organizations, and organizations serving people with disabilities.

In Lyon (69), the quintet is partnering with the Fourvière Geriatric Hospital, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Conservatory for a project centered on the opera *Carmen*. Through workshops, recording sessions, and a concert by the quintet, the hospital’s residents and staff engage with this theme, which serves as the starting point for an intimate exploration of sound and memory.
In Saint-Maurice-en-Trièves (38), as part of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes DRAC’s “Cultural Summer” program, 44 vacationers with disabilities are spending 10 days making music with two percussionists and a videographer. It’s an opportunity to share and experience emotions through music. Each session becomes a celebration of rhythm, connection, and collective creation.
