Since 1983, five enthusiastic and demanding musicians have been taking up the challenge to create and develop a unique quintet keen on innovating and on playing a music that is always in progress.
With their marimbas, their vibraphones and their xylophones, these bold virtuosos, always urged by a quest for perfection and a will to share it with their audience, go through and beyond genres, forms and techniques; they make theirs and skilfully re-create existing pieces, classical or otherwise, and draw the attention of modern composers, ending up with an eclectic repertoire made up of acclaimed transcriptions and new scores.
Their five-musician orchestra surprises and fascinates audiences from Lyons to Shanghai with audacious rhythms and finely-tuned melodies, building the story of an ever-moving show where Bach and Ravel meet Zappa and modern-day artists.
